AWAGAMI ASA RAKUSUI

Once thought impossible, but thanks to the creative papermakers in Thailand, lace paper in silver and gold metallic are now a reality. Handmade of hemp, one of the strongest raw materials available, and created through the delicate process of forcing water through a stencil. A favorite for wedding invitations.

AWAGAMI TOSA LACE

Impossibly delicate and ethereal, yet durable. Once again the papermakers of Japan have combined centuries of knowledge with a keen desire to find the most practical solutions. The use of rayon has made this machine-made, acid-free paper durable enough to crumple, and supple enough that if you ironed a crumpled sheet, it would flatten completely. Available in five distinctive patterns, four colors each. Recommended for anything decorative, from shoji screens and overlays, to invitations and gift wrapping. Fine artists have been known to incorporate it into paintings and mixed media prints.

AWAGAMI WHITE LACE

Handmade in Thailand especially for Savoir-Faire, these lace papers combine hemp and mulberry fibers in three stunning patterns that include a square motif (Ohgoshi), a maple leaf (Momiji), and a flower (Hana Asa). All are white and acid-free.
